dongwoo had been the boy you were told to avoid in high school. doing drugs, getting in fights, skipping school, exactly what a parent is afraid of. however, he was alluring, and he found himself in a relationship. they had been sneaking around with each other knowing her parents wouldn't approve of him. however, trouble struck when she ended up pregnant. they finally announced their relationship and the pregnancy to her parents and they were furious, banning him from ever seeing her again. that didn't stop them though, as dongwoo didn't want to be away from her, especially now that she was carrying his baby. he had sworn to sober up and be there for his child, but her parents didn't believe him and were planning to give the child up for adoption. dongwoo couldn't let that happen, and convinced his girlfriend to tell him when she went into labor. he was at the hospital despite her parents displeasure, but the doctors let him in the room as his girlfriend requested he be the only one in the room. there, his daughter was born, kim yewon. seeing his baby born made him even more sure that he was going to take care of her. they had both signed the birth certificate, and all seemed right, until they left the hospital. without a word, his girlfriend's parents had moved with his girlfriend, and she had no choice but to break up with him. he was left alone with his child as a senior in high school. his own parents, very against the idea from the beginning, saw his change of demeanor and promised to help until he could get himself on his feet. he had gotten a job while still going to school, while looking into work to do after school. when it came to the time for him to graduate, he knew he needed to find a job fast, and he needed to find a daycare for yewon to attend as he couldn't rely on his parents who also worked. so, with nowhere else to look, he applied for every daycare in the area, explaining his situation in the interview until one center accepted him. they had told him if he proved himself in the first month, than they would help him get licensed to work there, now, 10 years later, he still works for the daycare as his daughter attends grade 4.

dongwoo will admit that he was never the smartest person around, especially when he thought back to his poor performance in his school days. however, when his daughter comes back home with math homework, he doesn't understand any of the steps to solve the equations. he didn't think he was this poor at math, but he cannot remember being taught to do math this way. after having to be taught by his own daughter that his way of teaching was wrong, dongwoo realized that she may need a tutor.
notes :: that new math is confusing and very different than what dongwoo was taught, so he has no idea how to help his daughter with her work. kinda preferred that your character is some kind of teacher/studying to be a teacher but something else could be discussedjust need a drink any age. any gender. closed
dongwoo is so busy being a father, he sometimes forgets to be a human. his parents had taken yewon for the weekend, and dongwoo doesn't know what to do. he finds himself at the bar, sitting by his lonesome. you happen to notice him and strike up a conversation.

yewon had been begging dongwoo to take her to family entertainment center in the city, and dongwoo had finally listened to her wishes. while there, yewon had created her own competition with another person there, thus causing yewon to want to continue this friendly rivalry.
